Expliciting Semantic Relations Between Ontologies in Large Ontology Repositories
نویسنده
چکیده
Our goal is to develop a framework for detecting and managing semantic relations between ontologies for large ontology repositories. Making explicit implicit relations between ontologies provides meta-information that facilitates the development of Semantic Web Applications. The development of the framework relies on an ontology-based methodology. This approach offers several advantages, among which the possibility to reason upon ontologies and their relations.

D 1 . 1 . 6 KANNEL : a framework for detecting and managing semantic relations between ontologies
In Semantic Web search engines such as Watson, or in large ontology repositories, we need to make explicit existing, implicit relations between ontologies in order to better support users and applications in selecting the "best" or the "right" ontologies according to their goals. We describe KANNEL, a framework for detecting and managing ontology relations in large ontology repositories. KANNEL...
متن کاملCentralized Clustering Method To Increase Accuracy In Ontology Matching Systems
Ontology is the main infrastructure of the Semantic Web which provides facilities for integration, searching and sharing of information on the web. Development of ontologies as the basis of semantic web and their heterogeneities have led to the existence of ontology matching. By emerging large-scale ontologies in real domain, the ontology matching systems faced with some problem like memory con...
متن کاملTowards a Formalization of Ontology Relations
In this paper, we describe our ongoing effort in describing and formalizing semantic relations that link ontologies with each others on the Semantic Web in order to create an ontology, DOOR, to represent, manipulate and reason upon these relations. DOOR is a Descriptive Ontology of Ontology Relations which intends to define relations such as inclusion, versioning, similarity and agreement using...

متن کاملCapturing Emerging Relations between Schema Ontologies on the Web of Data
Semantic heterogeneity caused by the use of different ontologies to describe the same topics represents an obstacle for many data integration tasks on the Web of Data, in particular, discovering relevant repositories for interlinking and comparing repositories with respect to the coverage of specific domains. To facilitate these tasks, mappings between schema terms are needed alongside the link...
